Our fifth meeting started by going over the finalised script that Walter had typed up and printed for us all to go over. We agreed with how it flowed and after a few tweaks we set it aside as a final script.

We discussed a potential back-up plan if we couldn't find actors available for the shoot two days later and concluded that we could postpone the shoot till the next day if necessary and try to find friends or other students at the university that could help out.

We decided that we would use voiceovers to read the Rush-Hour Crush 'adverts' for ease of editing and to make it more realistic, instead of trying to construct our own version of the article and sticking it into the Metro paper.

The next topic of discussion was the idea of costumes and where we would get them,

as well as the idea of using group members in disguise as extras to pad out the narrative.

The idea of the soundscape was brought up which was followed with a discussion on which sounds we wanted to use throughout the short film. We decided that a radio traffic report would fit well for the first few shots in the film, along with an alarm clock noise at the very beginning to set the scene of a commuter's life. We also discussed editing techniques for the soundscape and decided that once we had the footage and had gotten into an editing suite that we would make final decisions. This led onto a short discussion regarding editing techniques and the use of jump cuts in the film which we knew would flow the best for the style of film we were making.

The next topic of discussion was if there were any particular shots that we all

wanted in the film. Ceri and Mia planned to have a full shot list prepared for the next meeting that we could all go over and finalise. We noted down a few cutaways that we could use and then moved onto the next topic; equipment.

As no 5Ds were available from the stores, Mia had borrowed a 7D instead and Ceri brought up the possibility of using a neutral density filter on the camera for cinematic effect purposes. It was decided that we would try to use the filter in order to create better depth of field in some of the shots where members of the public may be shown so that they had some privacy.
